It’s been a good while since I’ve written on the blog. As we all know, life happens and the same is true for me. Throughout this year, I experienced lots of change. Everything from leaving one workplace to starting a new job (yay!) to navigating health matters, adaptability was the name of the game. There was so much happening personally, not to mention the ever-changing headlines. All of this is enough to make you feel the weight and, in my case, start to lose the zeal for things that bring joy, like this blog. So, here’s a quick 2022 recap + checking in. Good news: I’m still standing!
2022 Recap: The Themes
Although change and adaptability were themes, my grounding anchor was deepening my faith journey. Now, please understand I am still a spiritual work in progress! But leaning on God was the thing that helped me get through, even in moments of pure frustration, disappointment, and general weariness. Starting the year, I had a lot of hope for the year. Much of what I desired or set as goals didn’t come to fruition. Some things were beyond my control, while other things required accountability on my part. Yet, I still hope for brighter days, even through the highs and lows. One song that really helped me over the past year was “God, Turn it Around” by Jon Reddick. This song starts off acknowledging that life can be tough with change but prayer and adaptability gives room for belief and hope for things to change.
In particular, the lyrics that resonated for me:
He is healing someone
He is saving someone
God is doing something right now
He is moving mountains
Making a way for someone
As we head into a new year, I pray we can all experience breakthroughs and hope
while navigating life’s continuous storms. I look forward to sharing more good
tips and thoughts about all things lifestyle! Stay tuned.
